Belize Golf Cart Rental

Please review our Rental Terms & Conditions before completing payment, as payment confirms your reservation and your acceptance of the rental agreement.

Driver Eligibility

To help ensure a safe experience for everyone on Ambergris Caye, the following driver requirements apply to all Aviz Golf Cart Rentals.

Valid Driver’s License

Every person operating a golf cart rented from Aviz Golf Cart Rental must possess a valid driver’s license. Visitors may use a valid driver’s license issued by their home country while visiting Belize.

Drivers should carry their driver’s license whenever operating the golf cart, as local authorities may conduct routine traffic checks.

Additional Drivers

If more than one person intends to drive during the rental period, each driver must hold a valid driver’s license and comply with these rental terms.

Responsible Operation

Golf carts operate on public roads throughout Ambergris Caye and are subject to local traffic laws. Drivers are responsible for operating the golf cart safely, obeying traffic signs, speed limits, and exercising care around pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles.

Driving under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.

Insurance Coverage

Every rental includes insurance to help protect against accidental damage and mechanical issues during normal use.

Insurance does not apply when:
1. Driving under the influence of liquor.
2. Cart proven to have not been locked.
3. Reckless driving.

The renter is responsible for a US$100 deductible where applicable.

FUEL

Your golf cart is supplied with a full tank.

Simply return it with approximately the same fuel level.

If not, we’ll refill it using the schedule below.
• ¼ tank – US$10
• ½ tank – US$20
• ¾ tank- US$30
• Full tank – US$40
(Fuel prices may vary according to market trends.)

DAMAGES

I agree to return it in the same order and condition as when it was received.
I agree to be responsible for any and all damages caused to the cart while in my possession. By signing this contract, I hereby authorize Aviz Golf Cart Rental to charge my credit card (an imprint of which has been signed by me) for any damages incurred, fuel used or additional time if the cart is not returned by the agreed time.
I agree that any of these expenses incurred and charged to my credit card is final and that I shall not employ the services of my credit card company as a means settling any dispute related to this matter.
I agree to return the vehicle at the designated time or before and accept that there will be no refund for any unused time.
I agree to pay double the agreed rate for any extra time I have kept the vehicle.

The renter accepts responsibility for ensuring that only licensed and authorized drivers operate the golf cart during the rental period.

LIABILITY

I take full responsibility for any accident or loss arising from the use of this Belize golf cart rental, however caused, including theft, property damage, personal injury or wrongful death and agree to indemnify and hold blameless Aviz Golf Cart Rental. I exempt and release Aviz Golf Carts and its agents, representatives or employees from any and all liability whatsoever arising from my use of this cart.

MAINTENANCE

No other person unless authorized by Aviz Golf Carts, may carry out any repair or alteration to the cart.

OTHER DRIVERS

I declare that the cart will be for my private and personal use and agree not to pass this Belize golf cart rental on to any other person to use. I assume full responsibility for any other person whom I allow to drive this vehicle.

GENERAL RULES

1. I agree not to take this cart further than 12 miles (Sueños Del Mar Resort) on the north side. A US$150.00 fee will be charged if the cart has to be towed back.
2. Abide by all road rules and traffic laws.
3. Ensure golf cart is locked when not in use with the locking bar provided. Loss of key or lock will result in fees as follows: Keys – US$10, lock – US$20.
4. Minimum driver’s age – 21 yrs.
5. No overloading of cart (4 persons max for 4 seater), (6 persons max for 6 seater).
6. No driving while intoxicated.
7. No driving on airport runway.
8. No towing of trailers or other golf carts.

CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

Full refund if cancelled 60+ days prior to arrival.
50% refund if cancelled 30-60 days prior to arrival.
No refund if cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival.
A 5% handling fee will be charged for all refunds.
No refunds for no-shows or unused portions of rental.
There will be no refunds due to airline delays, strikes, political unrest or
Acts of God, including Hurricanes.
Travel insurance is recommended and can be purchased through Travel Guard International –
www.travelguard.com.
I confirm that I have read and will abide by the above rules.

By accepting delivery of the golf cart, the renter confirms that all authorized drivers meet the above driver requirements and agree to comply with Belize traffic laws and these rental terms.

Once availability is confirmed, we’ll send you payment instructions. Your golf cart is reserved after payment is received. By completing payment, you acknowledge and agree to our Rental Terms & Conditions.
Arrival & Pickup
